About Us

Hi! We are Shannon and Buddy and if there are two things we love, its travel and a good bargain! We were inspired to start a blog because so many so called “budget” travel sites are priced out of reach for the average person. In reality there are so many ways to keep costs in check without feeling deprived or pinching every penny. We also know when to splurge. We endeavor for balance and at the end of the day we know the better we stick to budget, the more trips we get to do! 

We are 40 something empty-nesters. We met in high school and have been together for over 25 years. We have two awesome kids, Madison and Charlie. We are foodies and LOVE craft beer, hiking, and snorkeling. We both work full time in addition to our travels and blogging but hope to retire by 50 and live abroad full time!
